- The 28th Kuwait Grand Competition for Memorizing and Reciting the Holy Quran was held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
- The competition was organized by the General Secretariat of Endowments, specifically the Quran and its Sciences Endowment Fund, with the aim of encouraging citizens to memorize and recite the Holy Quran.
