Learn more about the Public Authority for Disability Affairs in Kuwait
The Public Authority for Disability Affairs was established by Law No. 8 of 2010 issued in the Official Gazette "Kuwait Alyoum" in No. 964 dated 28/2/2010. It is a legal authority subject to the supervision of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor.
In particular, the authority specializes in approving the general policy for the care of persons with disabilities, following up on its implementation and development reports, setting regulations and defining procedures related to implementing the country's obligations stipulated in Law No. 8 of 2010.

Under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Amthal Hadi Al-Huwayla, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood, the Department of Centers for the Care of People with Disabilities, in cooperation with Promenade Mall, organized an event at the mall to celebrate Universal Children's Day, under the slogan: "We Care for Them So They May Flourish." The event aimed to support children with disabilities, promote their inclusion in society, and provide a safe and stimulating environment for growth and learning. The accompanying exhibition included awareness programs and interactive activities to develop children's skills and talents. Dr. Khalifa Al-Hila'i emphasized the importance of caring for and empowering children with disabilities, providing them with education, opportunities, and inclusion, and respecting their rights.
